WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE EMILY’S GIFT £40?
What’s your relationship with business networking?
Do you love it or loathe it?
Are you exhausted by it?
Are you having fun doing it?
Does it generate the return you want?
A key part of a micro business owner’s marketing activity is spent attending business networking events.
Yet the truth is most business networking events have not changed their format in more than 30 years and work on an outdated approach of delivering an ‘elevator pitch’ that focuses on making a sale rather than building a network.
This is your invitation to learn how to become a ‘human networker’ and discover how to put the fun and effectiveness back into your networking.
Less time, less money, more efficiency, more fun!
The real process of building a friendship or creating a community involves performing a series of small actions well:
- being curious about other people.
- disagreeing without poisoning relationships.
- revealing vulnerability at an appropriate pace.
- being a good listener.
- knowing how to ask for and offer forgiveness.
- knowing how to host a gathering where everyone feels embraced.
- knowing how to see things from another’s point of view.
Our Networking for Humans course provides an alternative approach to the ubiquitous nature of the ‘automated and impersonal’ marketing activities that most people unconsciously pursue.
This human centric approach to business networking and business development allows you to effortlessly create trusted connections through all your existing networking activities.
Networking for Humans is a practical NOT a theoretical course.
Delivered over 5 weekly lessons it not only addresses the challenges identified above but also looks at them through the differences that exist between ‘on-line’ and ‘in person’ events.
To accurately know another person, to let them feel valued, heard, and understood. That is at the heart of what it means to be good person. That is what it means to be a Human Business. That is what lies at the heart of our Networking for Humans course.

What is The Human Business?
The Human Business is a new Gloucestershire based social enterprise on a BOLD mission to put human into one million UK businesses .
Small businesses play a crucial role in the health of the UK economy, accounting for, as at the start of 2022, at least 99.9% of all businesses, 61% of all jobs, and a contribution of £2.1 trillion or 51% of UK GDP.
Yet, despite their undeniable economic importance and their deep roots within the community, the realm of small business owner wellbeing remains relatively unexplored.
So earlier this year we commissioned and published a report called ‘Wellbeing and the Future of Work’ which confirmed some worrying challenges that micro businesses are facing.
We aim to change that!
What does being a supporter of The Human Business give me?
1. 10 x Online monthly workshops
Our monthly online ‘Permission to be Human’ workshop brings our community together in a safe environment to network and explore the challenges, identified in our ‘Wellbeing and The Future of Work’ report, that are currently impacting upon their business and their personal wellbeing.
The community is facilitated through a learning exercise where everyone can either find an answer to their own particular challenge or gain a deeper understanding and an acceptance of the challenge others might be experiencing. Thereby creating deeper, more meaningful and trusted connections between community members.
2. 3 x ‘In-person’ events
This is an opportunity for the community to deepen their connections with one another through taking part in a charity fund-raising event and exploring how they might be of service to each other.
3. Curated Introductions
One of the key challenges for micro business owners face is balancing the demands on their time. Providing ‘curated’ introductions will help reduce the amount of time they may spend developing relationships that ultimately end up going nowhere, resulting in both stress and/or financial pressure.
4. The Human Business Book Club
Our book club takes a range of business and personal development bestsellers and converts them into a course that allows micro business owners to read, digest and apply key learnings from each book studied.
Through weekly group discussions with other supporters, you will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of the topic and deepen your connection with other supporters.
This is a book club for supporters who want to take action and be held accountable. It’s a book club that provides the space for skill application rather than just more information gathering.
